What We Do

The Services & General Administration Department (S&GAD), headed by the Additional Chief Secretary, is committed to improving the governance and administrative efficiency within the province and is dedicated to formulating and implementing essential policies that enable the seamless operation of public offices which includes the following:

Framing of rules, regulations & policy guidelines for smooth & efficient functioning of public offices

  • Transfer and posting of the government officials
  • Promotion cases of the officials
  • Matters pertaining to:
    • Retirement
    • Pension
    • GP Fund
    • Ex-Pakistan Leave
    • Absorption of the employees of the surplus pool
    • Study Leave
    • Capacity Building of the officers
    • Hiring consultants for various technical assignments, etc. 

By focusing on these essential tasks and functions, the ACS Office and S&GAD remain committed to the mission of enabling the government to run smoothly, support public servants, and ultimately, ensure the province’s governance systems work effectively to benefit the public.
